Since 1987, PTSIR has been committed to providing a comprehensive industrial program to assist the patient, referring physician, insurance company, and the rehabilitation nurse to return the patient back to work. In fact, over 89% of our work hardening patients return to their original positions. We pride ourselves in offering an outstanding multi-disciplinary program in addition to providing timely and thorough communication. Patients will find 2,000 sq. ft. at our Blue Island office and 3,000 sq. ft. in Hazel Crest devoted to industrial rehabilitation.

Functional Capacity Evaluations

The FCE is a comprehensive evaluation to objectively measure physical performance using both computerized and individualized work simulation activities. This evaluation provides information regarding the worker's ability to safely return to work. During this evaluation, we use objective measures to determine whether the client had participated with a consistent effort.  We complete injury-specific FCE's to avoid unnecessary costs.

PTSIR also offers On-Site Work Programs, Industrial Safety Education, "Americans with Disabilities Act" Consultations, and Post Offer Assessments. We assist employers in identifying workers who are able to perform the essential functions of a job.
