Lymphedema Program

Lymphedema is a chronic swelling of one or more areas of the body; primarily seen in the arms and legs. This occurs when the lymphatic system is compromised by trauma, removal of lymph nodes, radiation, chronic inflammation, or infection.  Patients are given a specifically designed therapeutic exercise program to be completed on a daily basis.

The Lymphedema Program is designed to reduce and control edema. Lymphedema treatment program includes:

• Manual Lymphatic Therapy
• Medical Compression Bandaging and Compression Garment
• Exercise Program
• Vasopneumatic Pump
• Home Management Program

The Lymphedema Program is offered exclusively at our Blue Island Location.
